NAED

National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED)

As the only organization in the electrical distribution industry that focuses on making the channel more successful, NAED represents companies in wide spectrum of sizes—from small and mid-sized independents to large regional and national chains. We help our members tell their story by providing the tools and resources necessary for them to succeed. NAED is the resource for education, networking, advocacy, education, defined standards and research.

Affiliated Distributors (AD)

AD is a member owned organization, passionate about bringing growth-oriented independent distributors and best-in-class supplier partners together with the purpose to outperform the market and to stay ahead of the competition. Since 1981, AD has been the #1 buying/marketing group for independent electrical distributors, with membership spanning three countries.

The National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors (NAILD)

NAILD was founded in 1977 by a small group of lighting distributors. Since then it has grown to well over 180 members. Membership in the association is made up of specialty lighting distributors and Vendor/ Manufacturers of lighting goods & supplies used in the operation of specialized lighting distributors.

Some of the main objectives of NAILD are to increase the effectiveness and profitability of the specialized lighting distributor through educational programs pertaining to the distribution of lighting products, and to develop marketing plans and programs through an exchange of ideas & to improve membership awareness of supplier marketing programs; and promote the need for and the benefit of good lighting.

CNR has been a longstanding membership in NAILD, as well as having a member, Robin Watt sits on the Board of Directors as the Vice President.

IES

Illuminating Engineering Society (IES)

The IES seeks to improve the lighted environment by bringing together those with lighting knowledge and by translating that knowledge into actions that benefit the public. The IES will build upon a century of excellence to create the premier lighting community dedicated to promoting the art and science of quality lighting to its members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

NCQLP

National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professionals (NCQLP)

The NCQLP is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 to serve and protect the well-being of the public through effective and efficient lighting practice. Through a peer-review process, the NCQLP establishes the education, experience and examination requirements for baseline certification across the lighting professions

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that certifies sustainable businesses, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods. USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education, and its LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating SystemTM.
