Bi-Level Lighting Retro-fit Kit
for HID Fixtures
|
|
|
Automatic Dimming
HID Bi-Level lighting provides automatic energy savings by detecting
personnel and vehicles in aisles or spaces. This can reduce power
consumption in half, because HID lamps are dimmed to 50% when the lit
areas are unoccupied.
Most existing HID fixtures can be quickly field-modified to include
occupancy sensor operation. The sensor detects body heat or machine heat
(such as a forklift), and the lights automatically turn on to "full".
After people and vehicles leave the area the lights dim to 50%. Dimming
will occur 1-30 minutes (adjustable) after the area is vacated.

Intelligent Lighting Cycle
When the HID lights are first turned on, the sensor kit automatically
establishes a 15 minute full brightness warm-up. The HID light can
then cycle to the reduced power mode when the space is unoccupied.
While the space is occupied the lights stay at full brightness.
