LC means Lighting Certified.

The NCQLP (national Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions) has established a certification process by which practitioners in lighting and related fields, through testing, demonstrate their knowledge and experience across the lighting professions.

To CNR, the LC is a sign of our commitment to an industry and a specialization. We are the areas leader in Lighting Design, Supply, and Maintenance and we want to prove it. In the state of Maryland there are 31 registered LC's, most work for engineering, architectural, or lighting design firms. Only two register LC's in Maryland work for a distributor and both of them are employed by CNR. Recently, one of the LC’s employed by CNR reached LEED AP status, and has pushed the company further along in striving to be the most educated and reliable distributor anywhere.

LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. LEED (Leaders in Energy Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Design) Certification allows us to consult on projects that are looking to become LEED Certified. This is steadily becoming a more popular initiative and is the future of architectural, interior, neighborhood and landscape design.

In addition, all of the CNR Sales Staff have earned their LS1 Certification through NAILD (National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors). This Lighting Specialist Program tests for general knowledge and application of a wide range of lighting products.

We are the Lighting Experts and have the certificates to prove it.
