The majority of lamps are sold as replacements for burned out bulbs in existing applications. Since the late seventies, we have been the suppliers of almost every lamp used in a state or city office building throughout Maryland, including all the schools, hospitals, and prisons. The control of this business is due to our winning of the State/Metro contract, and various other county contracts every five years. These contracts are worth about three million dollars annually to CNR. Obviously, we strive to maintain good relationships with government purchasing agencies, for each time these contracts come out for bid, there is the very real potential of losing a significant percentage of our overall volume.

In addition to our contract business, CNR services an extremely large market of private property owners and property management firms. Some of the larger property owners we deal with are Town & Country Apartments and Kay Management. We are constantly pursuing the expansion of this area of our business in both new construction and replacement lamp.
